DARE TO DREAM

Here to hold space for you to speak into your future, unfold your brilliance and witness your flight.

Let’s dare to dream - and turn those dreams into something tender, tangible, mighty - one acorn at a time.

For the courage to feel into the mystery and daring of what makes change possible - I owe much to the poetry and philosophy of David Whyte.

Start Close In - DAVID WHYTE

Start close in,

don't take the second step or the third,

start with the first thing close in,

the step you don't want to take.

Start with the ground you know,

the pale ground beneath your feet,

your own way to begin the conversation.

Start with your own question,

give up on other people's questions,

don't let them smother something simple.

To hear another's voice,

follow your own voice,

wait until that voice becomes an intimate private ear that can really listen to another.

Start right now take a small step you can call your own

don't follow someone else's heroics,

be humble and focused,

start close in,

don't mistake that other for your own.

Start close in,

don't take the second step or the third,

start with the first thing close in,

the step you don't want to take.

SOMETIMES WE KNOW THERE’S SOMETHING THAT IS COMING IN BUT WE CAN’T QUITE TOUCH IT - YET.

What change is brewing in your life? If you’d like some company to figure it out please holler.

LOST - David Wagoner

Stand still. The trees ahead and bushes beside you
Are not lost. Wherever you are is called Here,
And you must treat it as a powerful stranger,
Must ask permission to know it and be known.
The forest breathes. Listen. It answers,
I have made this place around you.
If you leave it, you may come back again, saying Here.
No two trees are the same to Raven.
No two branches are the same to Wren.
If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you,
You are surely lost. Stand still. The forest knows
Where you are. You must let it find you.

Change is entwined with grief - to say yes to what could be next we often have to let go of what has been. it can feel tender to state our needs, wants, dreams - sometimes we need someone away from our inner circle to offer space for new shoots to unfold.

TELL A WISE PERSON - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

"Tell a wise person, or else keep silent, because the mass man will mock it right away. I praise what is truly alive, what longs to be burned to death. In the calm water of the love-nights, where you were begotten, where you have begotten, a strange feeling comes over you, when you see the silent candle burning. Now you are no longer caughtin the obsession with darkness, and a desire for higher love-making sweeps you upward. Distance does not make you falter. Now, arriving in magic, flying, and finally, insane for the light, you are the butterfly and you are gone. And so long as you haven't experienced this: to die and so to grow, you are only a troubled guest on the dark earth."
